Rotary International

Mission Statement

The mission of Rotary International, a worldwide association of Rotary Clubs, is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standard, and to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

The vision of Rotary International is to be universally recognised for its commitment to Service Above Self to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace.

Recognizing the role that core values play in driving the direction of the organisation and the actions of members, the Board approved the following values as Rotary's guiding principles: Service, Fellowship, Diversity, Integrity and Leadership.'

In our Stone's Corner club, we offer a great chance to meet other like minded business, professional, and community leaders, to serve both our local community and the international community.

The Stone's Corner Rotary Club meets at the Coorparoo RSL Club,

45 Holdsworth St, Coorparoo every Monday

(except for Public Holidays)

5:30pm for Fellowship, 6:00pm for dinner.

What is a Rotarian?

Amongst many other things!

- a Rotarian is a person who digs wells from which he or she won't drink...

- a person who vaccinates children he or she will never meet...

- who provides emergency shelter for those affected by disasters...

- who restores eyesight for those he or she will never see...

- who builds housing he or she will never live in...

- who educates children he or she will never know...

- who plants trees he or she will never sit under...

- who feeds hungry people regardless of colour, race or politics...

- who makes crawlers into walkers halfway around the world...

- who knows real happiness can only be found by serving others!

Pirate joke of the Week:

What did the pirate go to beauty college for?

To be a BARRRRRRRber!!

Club Member's Reminder

Meeting Attendance

Remember - if you can't be there for your rostered duty, organise to swap with someone else, or contact the Club Service Director advising them that you won't be there, and that you need a substitute.  The onus for this is really up to you!

Don't forget to also let the club's Attendance Officer know that you won't be there, so that they can adjust that meeting's meal count accordingly.

If you are bringing guests to a meeting, you also need to let the club's Attendance Officer know how many guests you will be bringing.
